This notice explains how we use the data of people who request information, book or take part in our canyoning and adventure experiences. It also describes your options to control that processing.

1. Data controller and contact

Esteban Zavalza Peña, operating under the trade name Canyons PV, is responsible for the data collected to provide our services.

For privacy, booking and clarification matters: hola@canyonspv.com.mx and phone +52 322 120 5643. Personal data requests will be handled by the person responsible for privacy at Canyons PV.

2. Data we may request

Identification and contact: name, email, phone and, when necessary for the activity, age, name of the companion or guardian and an emergency contact. Booking: experience, date, participants, communications and service-related requests.

Payment and invoicing: amount, reference, transaction status, receipts and, when an invoice is requested, the necessary tax data. We never ask for full card numbers, PINs, security codes or banking passwords by email or messaging.

Sensitive data: only when necessary to assess safety conditions, we may request specific information about health, allergies, injuries or relevant limitations. Processing it requires express written consent or a valid electronic equivalent, unless a legal exception applies. Please avoid sending complete medical records.

3. How we use the information

Necessary purposes: answering inquiries; managing bookings and participants; confirming payments; issuing receipts and invoices; communicating instructions and changes; handling cancellations, refunds, incidents and complaints; and complying with legal obligations. The emergency contact will be used only to handle a situation related to participation.

Optional purposes: sending promotions and news or using identifiable images for advertising. Separate authorization will be requested for these uses. Declining them does not prevent you from booking. You can withdraw that authorization or unsubscribe from marketing by writing to our contact email.

4. Payments with Clip and other providers

Clip processes payments made through its tools. Data you enter directly in its environment is subject to its own privacy notice: https://www.clip.mx/privacidad Canyons PV uses the transaction information it receives to identify your purchase and handle clarifications; we do not use the Clip form to request your banking credentials.

Authorized staff and providers acting on our behalf may access only the information needed for bookings, website hosting, communications and support, under confidentiality and protection obligations. Guides will receive only the data strictly necessary to operate and look after the group.

We may share information with emergency services to protect a person, or with authorities when there is a legal basis. If a different transfer requires authorization, we will identify the recipient and purpose before requesting it. We will never sell databases. Using external services may involve processing outside Mexico; any applicable transfers will comply with the relevant legislation.

5. Access, rectification, cancellation and objection

You may request access to your data, correct it, ask for its cancellation or object to certain uses. Write to hola@canyonspv.com.mx with the subject "Personal data", your name, a way to reply and a description of your request; for rectification, indicate the change and its support. We will verify your identity and, where applicable, representation through an appropriate channel without requesting excessive data.

We will communicate our decision within 20 business days of receiving the request and, if applicable, carry it out within the following 15 business days. Any legal extension will be notified and justified. The process is free, except for reproduction or delivery costs permitted by law. The response will explain any refusal or necessary legal retention.

Through the same channel you can revoke consents or limit use and disclosure. Revocation does not affect processing already lawfully carried out. If your request is not handled in accordance with the law, you may contact the Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno as the competent authority for personal data held by private parties.

6. Protection, retention and minors

We will limit access according to staff roles and apply administrative, technical and physical measures suited to the information. We do not promise invulnerability. A breach that significantly affects your rights will be communicated as required by law.

Data will be kept while the service is managed and for the periods required for tax obligations, claims or liabilities. It will then be blocked and deleted or anonymized, as appropriate. Health information will not be kept longer than necessary for safety and incident follow-up, unless required by law.

Bookings for minors must be made with their mother, father or guardian. Where applicable, their authorization will be collected and the minor's data limited to what is needed to participate.

7. Cookies and site technologies

The site may use technologies necessary to operate forms and keep it secure. Optional measurement or advertising tools must be identified and allow your choice before being activated, when consent is required. Declining them will not prevent you from viewing basic information or requesting assistance.

You can also manage cookies from your browser; some features may be limited.

8. External notices and changes

When opening external links, maps, social networks or payment platforms, please review the notices of the corresponding service. We will publish changes to this notice on the site, with its update date. If a new use requires consent, we will request it beforehand. Simply browsing does not replace required express authorizations.
